There are a gazillion tools Cruisers need to keep their boats in good nick, but not everyone necessarily needs to own all of them. As a community, this is one of the benefits, that we can help each other and lend a hand or a missing tool when needed.
Examples of tools that we may be able to lend or assist in using are:
- Rope splicing tools
- Swaging tools
- (12V) Electrical installation tools, e.g. multimeter, crimping wire terminals
- Polishing/buffer
- Oil extractor
- Rivet gun
- Heat gun
- etc etc
If there’s a particular job that you’re planning to do, let us know the date(s) and sort of tools you might need, and the Cruising committee will look into how and if we can help.
Also, if you have tools no longer needed for you, but you’re happy to donate them to MHYC Cruising we’d obviously be happy to receive them 🙂
